Your Heart Like Glass

I won’t let you fall,

Can’t let you break,

You seem appalled,

By the chances I take.

I’ve kept you safe all along,

Held tight within my arms,

You say something’s wrong,

Though I could do you no harm.

Can’t take it anymore,

You’re too fragile, like glass.

I’m worn down to the core,

We knew this could never last.

Now our love has shattered, I can’t let it go,

Should’ve been more careful, I know, you told me so.
